New York Film Academy
Los Angeles, New York, Miami
New York Film Academy (NYFA) is a filmmaking and performing arts school founded in 1992. Inspired by the idea that to learn how to make movies, one must actually make movies. Blending a mixture of traditional film school instruction with a new approach, the Academy emphasises coursework based around students actually going out and shooting films as part of their coursework. Students write, produce, direct, and edit their own original films while also serving as crew members on their fellow classmates’ films to gain extensive on-set experience.
Course offer includes 3 year bachelor degrees, one year conservatory programs, 2 year master of arts and short courses of different lengths from 1 week to 8 weeks. NYFA has a wide range of summer and winter programs for high school students. The areas of studies are film, acting, visual arts, performing arts and VFX.
Named by Variety as Top Film School of 2020. Best film school of 2018 and 2019 and Stellar Film School in 2017. Some of the top guest speakers include Steven Spielberg, Rose Mcgowan, Al Pacino, Ron Howard, Glenn Close to name a few.
