UAL Talk #1 / Hotel Alquimista / Montevideo
Montevideo, June 2026 — On June 10th, Alquimista hosted a presentation by University of the Arts London (UAL), one of the world’s most renowned universities specializing in art, design, fashion, communication, and creative disciplines.
Organized by FAD Connection, the event offered an introduction to UAL’s academic and creative universe, including its study programs, admissions processes, international opportunities, and the wide range of disciplines brought together within the university.
Based in London, UAL comprises six specialized colleges covering areas such as contemporary art, graphic design, communication, fashion, photography, film, performance, interior architecture, illustration, curation, and creative direction. Over the years, its classrooms have nurtured some of the most influential names in the global creative industries.
The presentation was aimed at students, artists, designers, architects, photographers, audiovisual creators, creative professionals, and families interested in exploring international educational opportunities in the fields of art and design.
The event took place in the afternoon at Hotel Alquimista, where attendees enjoyed a traditional London-inspired afternoon tea, creating a relaxed atmosphere for conversation, questions, and connections among participants ahead of the presentation.
