I AM AI: Istituto Marangoni’s Metaverse
Istituto Marangoni has successfully executed its groundbreaking project, “I AM AI,” marking a significant leap forward in the integration of technology and fashion.
The innovative format of “I AM AI” offered an unprecedented experience, redefining the traditional fashion show by using the power of Artificial Intelligence. This visionary project merged 3D collections with digital environments created by AI, creating an immersive showcase.
The event featured presentations by seven talented graduates, each representing one of Istituto Marangoni’s prestigious campuses in Milano, Firenze, Paris, London, Mumbai, Shanghai, and Shenzhen. The graduates that showcased seven aesthetic visions were: Novackova Anezka, Alessia Ancillotti, Najjar Tia, Ummehani Kanchwala, Shreya, Jin Leiyao y Gong Wenze. Excellent work!
“I AM AI” invited guests on an immersive journey, allowing them to create their own avatars and navigate through various scenarios. The event also provided an opportunity to explore exhibitions and witness the fusion of technology and fashion in action.
Istituto Marangoni Shanghai collaborated with Furla China Mainland in the Re-Candy project, a sustainable bag design and customization initiative. The Fashion Design & Styling Intensive program students engaged in a process of deconstruction and reconstruction of the iconic Re-Candy bag, using only recycled ordinary objects. The 3D versions of these eco-friendly bags were showcased in the Virtual Reality Furla Store.In recognition of their exceptional creations, Wang Ruiting and Zhou Jie were awarded scholarships for postgraduate programs.
