Istituto Marangoni Fashion Styling Tour
From November 13th to 16th, 2023, FAD Connection presented the Istituto Marangoni Fashion Styling Tour in Argentina and Uruguay. Nicola Favaron, leader of the Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs in Fashion Styling at Istituto Marangoni London, introduced us to the vast world of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and creative direction.
The Fashion Styling Tour offered a variety of educational activities, including talks, seminars, workshops, and research opportunities in each city.
About Nicola Favaron:
He is the leader of the Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs in the field of Fashion Styling at Istituto Marangoni London. Nicola has worked as a photographer for major apparel brands like Adidas and celebrities like Dua Lipa. He is also a creative consultant, content creator, and educator with over 15 years of experience. Nicola graduated from the Istituto di Fotografia in Milan and built a career in the industry, primarily working in advertising, editorials, and consulting for international magazines.
In 2009, he moved to London, where he currently lives and works. Favaron has been working at Istituto Marangoni London since 2011, combining his industry practice with academic training and a growing interest in sharing knowledge, aiming to educate conscious professionals and leaders in the industry. He is currently the Programme Leader for BA Fashion Styling and Creative Direction and MA Fashion Styling, Creative Direction, and Digital Content.
About the activities:
The Fashion Fusion Workshop was one of the events led by Nicola Favaron. It introduced the increasing connection between fashion and technology, highlighting the fusion of creativity and technology. In this workshop conducted in English, the relationship between fashion creative direction and artificial intelligence (AI) was explored, and how the latter can revolutionize fashion production. The workshop was divided into sections, including fashion concept generation, image creation with AI, image enhancement, creative storytelling, and the integration of AI into portfolios. This private event took place at La Jungla Studio and Lincoln High School in Buenos Aires. Later, in Montevideo, Nicola conducted the Fashion Fusion Workshop at Uruguay American School and Magma Futura.
The Fashion Fusion Masterclass took place at Alcorta Shopping. This masterclass addressed the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into the creative direction of the fashion industry. It emphasized the potential of AI to enhance creativity, redefine luxury in the digital age, and serve as a collaborative tool for designers and content creators. It explored the impact of AI on various aspects of fashion, from production to marketing, showcasing its ability to inspire and empower creatives to break barriers, produce unique and personalized promotional content. In summary, the masterclass highlighted the transformative role of AI in the fashion world, offering innovative possibilities for designers and brands. It concluded with a warm Q&A where guests expressed their questions, experiences, and gratitude towards Nicola.
