Istituto Marangoni Virtual Talks 2025

FAD Connection presents Istituto Marangoni Virtual Talks, a space where we will explore three key areas of the industry: Art Direction and Editorials, Fashion Styling, and Fashion Business. These talks will be led by Istituto Marangoni Area Directors from their campuses in London, Paris, and Florence.

The first talk in this series is Fashion Editorials in the Digital Age with Nicola Favaron. This session will explore how digital innovation is redefining fashion’s narrative, aesthetics, and cultural influence. Digital fashion has transformed traditional editorials, introducing immediacy, interactivity, and AI-driven experimentation. Social media and decentralized platforms have allowed brands and independent creatives to reach audiences directly, challenging the control models set by traditional media.

Nicola Favaron, with 15 years of experience in photography, creative consulting, and education, studied Law and Photography at the Istituto Italiano di Fotografia. After developing his career in advertising and editorial portraiture, he moved to London in 2009, where he has led fashion academic programs at the University of Westminster and Istituto Marangoni. He currently directs the BA in Fashion Styling & Creative Direction and the MA in Fashion Styling, Creative Direction & Digital Content.

About Istituto Marangoni

Istituto Marangoni is one of the world’s most prestigious fashion, art, and design schools. Founded in Milan in 1935, it now has campuses in Milan, Paris, London, Florence, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Mumbai, Dubai, and Miami. Studying at Marangoni means becoming part of a global fashion community, with influential alumni such as Franco Moschino, Domenico Dolce, and Alessandra Facchinetti. Every year, over 4,000 students choose this institution for an academic experience that blends theory and practice. Its approach is built on four key pillars: strategic locations, highly qualified faculty, an international vision, and the distinctive Italian style—preparing students to stand out in the industry and become the leading figures of the future.
