Santiago at Galería Arte Espacio
Our second stop took us to Santiago, Chile, where Galería Arte Espacio opened its doors for a day full of creativity and dialogue. The day began with the magnificent talk by Diana, who explored the relationship animism vs transhumanism, inviting attendees to reflect on how these ideas influence contemporary art and design. Her presentation combined visual and conceptual examples, creating a space to question the boundaries between the human, the technological, and the symbolic.
Later, together with Dominga Ducci (alumni), we had a very engaging conversation—a true exchange of ideas with the participants. Questions and comments arose naturally, allowing perspectives from students, artists, and professionals to connect, fostering an environment of mutual learning and inspiration.
As part of the 10th anniversary of The Collective, we had the pleasure of awarding a scholarship from Istituto Marangoni Paris to Benjamín Carvajal, winner of the Beyond the Frame competition. This celebratory moment was the perfect way to close the day, highlighting the talent and creativity of the local community.
We wrapped up our stop in Santiago with lots of energy and excitement. It was an inspiring day that left us eager to return and repeat the experience, continuing to connect with Chile’s vibrant creative community.
